"Do your little bit of good where you are; it's those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world."- Desmond Tutu
The goal of Universal Education for Compassion and Wisdom is to inspire and support an international network of ‘community educators’ of all ages, cultures and traditions who want to develop their capacity to make the world a better place.
Community Educators are people who:
- yearn for a wiser and more compassionate world, built on human values such as kindness, tolerance and forgiveness
- want to bring about positive change through educating themselves and others in how to lead a happy and meaningful life
- are interested in learning tried and tested approaches for use in education, youth work, health and social care, leadership, and in the family and community
The Dalai Lama once said: “If you think you’re too small to make a difference, try getting into bed with a mosquito.” Week after week we are touched by testimonials and stories from people who have put the learning gained through Universal Education into action. Whether it is a school teacher sharing an exercise on kindness or a palliative nurse practicing patience with a client, there are countless examples of how small but meaningful acts can create a significant ripple across society.
