SUMMARY:16G Building Inner Strength Retreat | at Chenrezig Institute (Australia)
DESCRIPTION:Feeling better starts with living better! \nAbout the Retreat\n\n\n\nThe 16 Guidelines for Life are a set of timeless and universal human values that have inspired individuals for over a millennia. They offer simple steps and practical tools to help you reflect\, relate more openly with others\, and to bring change to your heart and mind\, recognising that we are interdependent and interconnected to so many aspects of our world and what lies within it. \nThey offer us the opportunity to develop a warm heart\, a wise mind and a happy life. \nWhat to Expect:\nThe 16 guidelines revolve around four key themes: thinking wisely\, acting kindly\, building strong relationships\, and embracing change for deeper meaning. This approach promises not just greater joy but a better world. \nThey are underpinned by four philosophical themes: \n1. How We Think: The way we use our mind determines the way we live. \nWe will explore \n\nhumility\npatience\ncontentment\ndelight\n\n2. How We Act: Every skillful action makes for a better world. \nWe will explore \n\nkindness\nhonesty\ngenerosity\nright speech\n\n3. How We Relate: To take care of others is to take care of ourselves. \nWe will explore \n\nrespect\nforgiveness\ngratitude\nloyalty\n\n4. How We Find Meaning: If everything is changing many things are possible. \nWe will explore \n\naspiration\nprinciples\nservice\ncourage\n\nSchedule\nFirst weekend: Saturday 11 April 9:00 am to Sunday 12 April 4:00 pm \nSecond weekend: Saturday 6th June 9:00 am to Sunday 7th June  4:00 pm \nThis first workshop 11-12 April explores the first 8 guidelines. Through discussion\, connection and openheartedness we consider and reflect on what we think we know about each guideline and whether we can deepen that understanding even more to bring greater peace and harmony to our lives and  to our world. \nThe second workshop on 6-7 June continues to explore the final 8 guidelines and offers a way to move forward in our lives with purpose and resolve to bring more joy into our hearts and minds as well as to those around us. \nWho Should Attend?\nThis retreat welcomes participants of all ages and backgrounds who are seeking practical tools for meaningful change in their life\, home\, relationships\, community or workplace. It will be of particular interest to: Change-makers and anyone working in education\, healthcare\, or helping fields; Yoga\, mindfulness\, and embodiment teachers; Coaches\, mentors\, and those working in corporate or organisational well-being. \n\nBookings\nThe suggested donation for this two-day weekend course is $120 (meals and accommodation are not included). A donation of $120 covers the organizer’s  costs and helps sustain the Centre so they can continue offering teachings to the wider community. However – you are welcome to offer whatever amount you feel comfortable with. \nSangha are always able to attend our courses free of charge\, please contact spc@chenrezig.com.au for discount code to register. \nThis retreat will be held in the Wellbeing Centre\, in person only. \nFor more information and bookings\, please visit Chenrezig Institute – 16 Guidelines \nFacilitator\n\n\n\n\n\nVen. Tsultrim was ordained in 2009 at Chenrezig Institute in Australia. She has spent much of the last several years in India and Nepal doing retreat\, listening to different teachers from the Tibetan Buddhist lineages and visiting many pilgrimage sites. She is currently living at Chenrezig Institute and continue working at Karuna Hospice Service in Brisbane as a counsellor and the Spiritual Program Coordinator. She has worked for many years in suicide prevention and intervention.\nShe has a very strong conviction that most of us can find contentment in our lives irrespective of our external circumstances through understanding and training our minds\, particularly through using mindfulness. She has a Bachelor of Counselling\, a Bachelor of Social Science (Social Policy)\, and Master of International Studies (Peace and Conflict Resolution).

SUMMARY:A Mindful Heart Course in 4 Modules | at Chenrezig Institute (Australia)
DESCRIPTION:Feeling better starts with living better! \nAbout the Event\n\n\n\nA Mindful Heart is a new course developed by FDCW as part of Universal Education. It is designed to support participants in developing a deeper understanding of how the mind works and how this understanding can transform the way we relate to ourselves and others. \nThe course gently guides participants in recognising and gradually letting go of destructive patterns of thought and behaviour\, while cultivating a healthy sense of self-confidence and a deep\, compassionate connection with others. Through guided reflection\, participants are invited to explore their attitudes\, perceptions\, and emotional patterns\, gaining insight into how inner experiences shape outer realities. \nBy examining the workings of our own minds and the nature of our interdependence with others and the world around us\, we begin to see how deeply interconnected we truly are. The course draws on both logical and scientific perspectives to explore the nature of the self and our relationships\, offering a balanced and accessible approach to inner inquiry. \nUltimately\, the personal transformation fostered through this course contributes to the creation of more compassionate cultures. How can one person influence a whole culture? The answer lies in understanding interdependence. Every action\, choice\, interaction\, and intention affects others and the broader environment. This principle of cause and effect lies at the heart of all life\, reminding us that individual transformation naturally ripples outward in meaningful ways. \nStructure\nThe course consists of 12 modules\, explored over three separate days\, with four modules each day. Each module builds on the previous one\, and each day builds upon the last. The time between sessions allows space for reflection and practice\, supporting participants to pause\, notice their inner experiences\, and reconnect with the heart of compassion and wisdom. \nThere will be plenty of opportunities for questions and discussion\, supporting the integration of insights and offering practical ways to live with greater mindfulness\, clarity\, and wisdom. \nSchedule\n\n28 March -Course day 1 : Modules 1-4\n25th April– Course day 2:  Modules 5-8\n27th June– Course day 3: Modules 9-12\n\nThis retreat will be held in the Gompa\, available to attend in person and online. \nWho Should Attend?\nThis retreat series welcomes participants of all ages and backgrounds who are seeking practical tools for meaningful change in their life\, home\, relationships\, community or workplace. It will be of particular interest to: Change-makers and anyone working in education\, healthcare\, or helping fields; Yoga\, mindfulness\, and embodiment teachers; Coaches\, mentors\, and those working in corporate or organisational well-being. \n\nBookings\nThe suggested donation for each day of the course is $75. However – you are welcome to offer whatever amount you feel comfortable with. \nSliding scale: $35-$75. \nSangha are always able to attend our courses free of charge\, please contact spc@chenrezig.com.au for discount code to register. \nFor more information and bookings\, please visit the Chenrezig Institute page \nFacilitator\n\n\n\n\n\nVen. SUMMARY:The Invisible Thread that support Us: a Radical exploration of conscious Living and Dying - a Residential retreat with Bruno Rizzi
DESCRIPTION:Life and death are not separate—they are deeply intertwined. What nourishes one inevitably supports the other. \nAbout the retreat\n\n\n\nA retreat to explore and strengthen the inner dimension that characterizes us as human beings\, recognizing that life and death are deeply connected. We will learn to recognize this fundamental dimension\, to cultivate it and integrate it as a source of serenity\, clarity\, and acceptance\, both in life and at its end. \nIt is designed using the approach and methodology of Universal Education\, integrating diverse spiritual perspectives with experiences from palliative care\, psychology\, and science. \nDuring the retreat\, we will maintain silence outside of the sessions\, and we recommend disconnecting from social media to fully immerse ourselves in this experience of calm\, reflection\, and inner discovery. \nWhy this Retreat?\nExperience shows us time and again that\, especially when death approaches\, we need to be aware of our values\, of what gives us meaning and offers us true support. This also happens in everyday life when we face significant challenges\, showing us how these two dimensions\, life and death\, have much in common. \nThese are aspects of the spiritual dimension within us\, since we are not only physical\, emotional\, and psychic entities\, but we are also part of a much broader and often mysterious context. \nThe purpose of this retreat is to explore\, recognize\, and learn to trust this fundamental dimension that characterizes us as human beings and that we often unconsciously long for. It is about appreciating that we need it and being able to cultivate and integrate it as an important basis for a fuller\, more conscious\, and peaceful life\, as well as for an end of life filled with confidence and security. \nWho Should Attend?\nThis retreat is open to anyone interested in exploring the themes of life\, death\, and impermanence—whether for personal growth\, spiritual development\, or professional practice in caregiving roles. \nLanguage\nThe sessions will be offered in English with Spanish translation. \n\nBookings\nThis is a residential retreat and the price includes accommodation\, all meals ( vegetarian) and the teachings. Spaces are limited to ensure a safe and intimate group setting. \n➡️ For more information and to reserve your spot\, please visit the Nagarjuna Alicante website\nWe encourage early booking to secure your place in this meaningful exploration. \nJoin us on this journey of deep reflection and transformation. Together\, we will explore how to live—and die—with greater awareness\, compassion\, and peace. \n“Death in itself is not fearful\, it is our mind that makes it terrifying”\n-Lama Zopa Rinpoche- \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFacilitator- Bruno Rizzi-\nBruno has been practicing Buddhism since 1980\, when he met Ven. Lama Thubten Yeshe and Lama Zopa Rinpoche in Italy. He lived as an ordained monk for seven years\, studying at Nalanda Monastery in France\, as well as in India and Nepal. \nFor the past 22 years\, he has worked as a palliative care nurse at Christophorus Hospiz in Munich\, Germany. For the last 15 years\, he has been leading workshops and retreats on the topic “Confronting Death\, Finding Meaning in Life.” \nHe is an accredited 16 Guidelines facilitator and collaborates with Universal Education – FDCW (Foundation for the Development of Compassion and Wisdom).

SUMMARY:Loving kindness Retreat - A Journey into Compassion and Equanimity
DESCRIPTION:About the Retreat\n\n\n\nThis weekend retreat at Land of Joy is an invitation to open our hearts to the power of loving kindness — for ourselves\, for others\, and for the world we share. \nThrough a blend of teachings\, guided meditations\, group discussion\, and gentle body practices\, teachers Lou Beaumont and Paula Chichester will guide us in exploring kindness as a profound source of strength and happiness. Together\, we will look closely at what supports kindness\, what can prevent it\, and how we can cultivate it in daily life with courage\, balance\, and warmth. \nShort sessions of pranayama and chi gong will support the retreat by relaxing the body and mind\, creating an open foundation from which loving kindness can naturally grow. These embodied practices will be woven gently alongside Dharma reflections and opportunities to share and learn from one another. \nThemes We Will Explore\nThe courage and strength of kindness: exploring how kindness is a source of resilience and joy\, and how gentle body practices like pranayama and chi gong can help the heart and mind soften to embody this quality. \n\nUnderstanding and responding to others: developing clarity and compassion in how we meet the needs of others\, supported by practices that open awareness and presence in the body.\nReflecting on kindness: recalling times we have given and received kindness\, using body-based practices to deepen connection to these experiences.\nOvercoming obstacles to kindness: exploring what can close the heart and mind\, and using breath and movement to release tension and cultivate equanimity.\nKindness and self-love: recognising that caring for ourselves is the foundation for genuine kindness to others\, and learning how embodiment practices support self-awareness and inner balance.\n\nWho Should Attend?\nThis retreat is for anyone who wishes to live with more warmth\, compassion\, and courage. Whether you are new to meditation or an experienced practitioner\, you are welcome. \nSchedule\nIn person- Friday 15th – Sunday 17th May \n\nBookings \nFor more information and bookings\, please visit the Land of Joy dedicated page

SUMMARY:Falling in Love with the Future - An experiential\, Nature Based Workshop
DESCRIPTION:This gathering is for the curious\, the weary\, the wild-hearted. No previous experience is needed—just a willingness to be surprised by your own aliveness. Whether you come alone or with friends\, you’ll be met with warmth\, spaciousness\, and good compost for your soul. \nAbout this Retreat\nJoin us for a beautiful\, relaxing\, and deeply meaningful gathering in the heart of nature—held over the luminous days of the Summer Solstice at the serene sanctuary of Land of Joy. This is not just a retreat. It’s a remembering. A re-rooting. A celebration. From Friday 19th – Monday 22nd June \n\n\n\nWhat’s Alive in This Workshop? \nOver a long summer solstice weekend\, we’ll immerse ourselves in the wild stillness and soft rhythms of the land. Together\, we will: \n\nRest in the quiet magic of reflection spaces\, birdsong\, and breeze.\nShare in the collective joy of meditation\, breath\, and gentle movement under open skies.\nSavour wholesome\, nourishing food\, prepared with care and shared in gratitude.\nGather around the fire in the long golden evenings to celebrate joy\, stories\, and seasonal aliveness.\nPractice being human together—with tenderness\, play\, and deep listening.\nThis is a space to unplug from urgency and reclaim connection—with yourself\, with others\, and with the living world.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhy “Fall in Love with the Future”?\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBecause in a world swirling with uncertainty\, we need new myths. New narratives. New ways of being-with the unknown. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe’ll tend the soil of possibility\, and open to a simple but profound truth: Our joy arises from our natural state of inter-being. \nOver these Solstice days\, we will:\nLearn to love ourselves—as part of nature\, not apart from it.\nLearn to love each other—with kindness\, courage\, and honesty.\nLearn to love the Earth—not as an idea\, but as kin.\nAnd yes… learn to fall in love with the future—not through control\, but through connection. \nWho is this Retreat for:\nThis gathering is for the curious\, the weary\, the wild-hearted. No previous experience is needed—just a willingness to be surprised by your own aliveness. Whether you come alone or with friends\, you’ll be met with warmth\, spaciousness\, and good compost for your soul.\nCome Join Us\nLet this be a pause from performance. A ritual of remembering. A small\, sacred step toward a world where we fall in love—not with perfection\, but with what is still possible.\n✨ Let the land love you back. ✨ Let the future become your ally. ✨ Let yourself come alive \n\nBookings \nFor more information and bookings\, please visit the Land of Joy dedicated page \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFacilitator: Paul Wielgus -Paul spent a large part of his working life facilitating groups of all sizes\, as well as one to one coaching\, up until 1999 when he left a large organisation to set up his 2 businesses\, Dragonfly Coaching For Life and Social Innovation (2020 Vision). In 2019 he decided to stop all his commercial life to dedicate his time to activism with Extinction Rebellion and XR Buddhists \nHis core belief (and experience) is that in activism and in life\, the most important thing is to learn not how to fix things\, but instead to try to learn how to find creative and courageous\, kind and wise responses to the many challenges we face. Finding Joy is a key aspect of this work. \nHe lives in Somerset with his lovely partner Ros\, where a significant part of their lives is dedicated to serving their unpredictable cat\, Olly.
