Weaving Our Own View of the World

Tuesday 27th June, 2pm BST

Join us for the third episode in our new series on Wisdom, the Wisdom Dialogues on Tuesday 27th June at 2pm BST ( check your time zone here) with Kabir Saxena.

About the Talk

We interpret the world according to our inner narrative and our conditioning. We often experience the world in all sorts of distorted and neurotic ways due to the power of the undisciplined, distracted mind.

By understanding our interconnectedness and our profound effect on one another more deeply, we can engage more positively with others and our environment. Kabir will share ways to investigate our mind, deepening our insights, and tapping into our innate goodness to allow a more peaceful, compassionate and wiser mind to flower. The 60 minute session will include a guided practice.

About Kabir Saxena

Kabir Saxena, born in Delhi in 1956 to an Indian father and English mother was raised in both Delhi and London and attended Oxford University. He spent 18 years as a Buddhist monk and returned to lay life in June 2020.

Kabir is currently the Spiritual Programme Coordinator and Instructor in Basic Buddhism at Tushita Mahayana Meditation Centre in New Delhi. He is a student of Lama Zopa Rinpoche since 1980 and has been working in Rinpoche’s centres in the UK, Nepal and India during which time he also helped set up the Root Institute in Bodh Gaya 1987.

Kabir considers himself inspired by Lama Zopa Rinpoche’s great compassionate activity, Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche’s vision for Bhutan and Indian Buddhists, HH. Dalai Lama’s vision for education in India and the world, Samdhong Rinpoche’s radical vision for a saner planet and Jiddu Krishnamurti’s vision of Creative Discontent.
