Our Board
Oi Loon Lee
Oi Loon graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a Chemistry degree. She then taught science and mathematics in high schools in Malaysia. Now retired, she serves as a trustee on the boards of Kasih Hospice Foundation, Losang Dragpa Buddhist Society as well as a charity foundation. She has been on the board of FDCW since 2009 and is the present chairperson. She believes that the work of FDCW is highly crucial to bring the awareness and practice of human kindness to our troubled world.
Dan Cutts
Dan is a retired lawyer. his interest in Buddhism and Universal Education began in 2008 when he was lucky enough to benefit from His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s teachings in Nottingham. Dan has previously been a Trustee of Land Of Joy - the FPMT Retreat Centre in Northumberland . He has also been a Trustee of a Wildlife Charity.
Lynne Seedhouse
Lynn is a retired Insurance Executive who spent her career with one of the largest general insurance companies in the UK. Lynn is a keen supporter of FDCW because she believes strongly in the importance for world peace of sharing the development of compassion and wisdom with people of all religions and none.
Wendy Ridley
After graduating from Leicester University, Wendy worked as an Archivist and then as a travel agent in London. Meeting Lama Yeshe in 1977 she was inspired by his vision of Universal Education. She did post-graduate teacher training and has over 35 years of experience working in the UK education sector.
Martin Ström
Martin is the founder of Yeshe Norbu Mind Training Centre and of Potential Project Sweden. He has a background as a serial entrepreneur in IT (he holds a master's degree in Computer Science). However, after discovering the power of meditation 20 years ago he got himself a master's degree in Psychology and studied Buddhist philosophy and psychology.
Geshe Tenzin Zopa
Geshe Zopa is a Tibetan Buddhist monk who was born in the Tsum Valley of Nepal. He undertook extensive studies at Sera Jey University and graduated as a Geshe, which is Tibetan for professor of Buddhist philosophy, in 2007.
Ven. Lozang Trin-lä
Lozang Trin-lä has been a Buddhist nun in the Tibetan tradition for almost 14 years. She has attended teachings by HH Dalai Lama all over the world and has been inspired by his deep understanding of universal human needs.
